A busy year
2017 has been a busy year for us. We released a major update - version 2.2 - in June and have been making incremental updates and bug corrections since then, with the latest release just a few days ago.
Check out the download area for the latest release of CMS Made Simple if you haven't updated your sites in a while. Upgrading a version 2 site is normally pretty straightforward - see the upgrading area of the docs website for a guide.
We also entered the CMS Critic Awards 2017 and won category Best Open Source CMS, helping to increase our profile. Thanks if you helped out by voting for us!
We upgraded our Partners programme and introduced new options. Check out the Partners programme details here including options with links from our website.
The CMS Made Simple Themes website has been overhauled and new themes added. If you have themes you would like to share check out the Themes website here. The themes site is a very popular area so adding themes is a great way to increase your exposure.
We've also tidied up the forum, pruning/merging some of the under-utilised areas. If you haven't visited the forum lately please check it out.
Join the Dev Team
We have a dedicated band of Dev Team people throughout a number of time zones, including most recently Australia! However, we are looking out for more. So if you know CMS Made Simple and can help out (even just a couple of hours a month) please consider joining us. We don't bite. We're particularly after help with marketing, video production and coding at the moment. But most skills can be used - it's enthusiasm that counts.

What's coming in 2018
We're busy preparing major release 2.3 and hope to have a beta release out early in the year.
